We edit short-form video for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube: trimming, subtitles, colour correction and export in the right aspect ratio for each platform.
Losequ was set up in Leeds in 2015 by two freelance editors who were spending most of their week working on separate laptops for separate clients and decided a shared studio would be more useful than two spare rooms. The first jobs were short clips for local shops on Burley Road wanting something for their social pages. There was no grand plan beyond keeping a steady stream of work and getting faster at the cutting and grading involved.
Eleven years on, the studio at 64 Burley Road has grown into a team of 12, and the client list has passed 792 businesses across 9 districts of Leeds and the surrounding area. Across that time we have completed 978 jobs, and 167 clients have come back for further work, which tells us more about the day-to-day reliability of the service than any marketing line could.
Our mission is simple: turn raw footage into short-form video that fits the platform it is going on, whether that is a vertical reel, a square feed post, or a longer upload, without asking clients to learn editing software themselves. The vision behind that is a Leeds studio that local shops, tradespeople and small brands can call on the same way they would call a printer or a signwriter — a known local trade rather than a distant subscription service.
Our core values are unremarkable but they hold the business together: reply to enquiries fast (we aim for 3 hours), quote a fixed price before work starts, keep footage and project files organised so a repeat client's second job goes faster than the first, and never promise an outcome we cannot control, such as how a video performs once it is posted. We work across 14 distinct services, from basic trims and captions to full multi-platform edits, and we keep adding to that list only when we can deliver it properly rather than to pad a brochure.

From £8We have edited 978 jobs for 792 clients since 2015. Here is what that work has taught our team of 12 about making social media video reliable, fast and easy to approve.
Every enquiry sent through our form or by phone gets a written reply within 3 hours during business hours. You get a time slot and a price before you commit to anything.
Our studio sits on Burley Road and we cover 9 districts across the city, from Headingley to Chapel Allerton. Footage can be dropped off in person or sent over a shared link.
Cutting, colour correction, subtitles, audio cleanup, format resizing and more are handled by the same point of contact, so you are not passed between departments.
167 clients have come back for a second project. We keep a short brief on file for each account so a follow-up job does not start from zero.
Files are exported in the exact ratio and codec required for each platform: vertical 9:16, square 1:1 or widescreen 16:9, with safe zones checked before delivery.
A fixed quote is given after we see the raw footage and the brief. If extra work is requested mid-project, you get a separate written price before we proceed.
Background noise reduction, level matching and basic voice clarity work are part of the standard edit, not billed as an add-on unless the source audio needs heavy repair.
Burnt-in or separate .srt caption files are added to every social edit, checked line by line for timing and spelling before the final file is sent.
Every quote includes two rounds of revisions as standard. You mark timestamps on the draft and we apply the changes without a separate charge.
Project files stay on our system for 90 days after delivery, so a small tweak or a resized version for another platform does not mean re-editing from scratch.
Losequ has operated in Leeds since 2015. That is 11 years of turnaround schedules, format changes across platforms, and client briefs handled by the same core team.
Late August is when brands and Leeds-based small businesses plan their autumn content ahead of time. To help with that, we are offering a batch rate on short-form edits: send us the footage from your last shoot and we will cut four platform-ready videos while billing only three. This applies to any mix of Reels, TikTok cuts or YouTube Shorts from the same source material, using the same captioning and colour grading approach across the set. It suits shops, cafes and studios around Leeds preparing content for September and October. Booking a slot now also means your files enter our queue before the fee reviews we run each autumn. Get in touch through the form above with your footage details and preferred platforms.
